Gurugram police arrest four for molesting South Korean tourist

Gurugram: The Gurugram police have arrested four people for molesting a South Korean tourist and also manhandling her male friend. Those arrested have been identified as Sandeep, Vinod, Rakesh and Jeetender.
The incident was reported on February 10 when the tourist along with her friend was returning to Delhi from Jaipur. Travelling through the Delhi-Jaipur highway they decided to stop at Manesar and click the photographs of the Aravallis hilltops in the area.
Taking advantage of them being alone in the area, the four youth first began misbehaving with the couple and then became more aggressive as the time passed. Not being deterred from the entire incident, a complaint was filed at the woman police station leading to the arrests.
According to the police official, molestation of women comes second in list of crimes against women in the district after domestic violence. In 2014 and 2015, there were 124 and 178 cases of molestation but in 2016 there was a whopping increase with over 320 cases of molestation registered. While, more than 200 cases of molestation have been registered in 2017 so far.
