Gurugram: Man murders wife, hides body in bed storage

Gurugram: A woman in her mid 30's was murdered allegedly by her husband. He then stuffed her body in the bed of his neighbour who was out of town.

The corpse retrieved the body after five days as a foul smell forced the person to inquire about it. What he found later was nothing more of a shock to him.

The incident was reported from Sector-46.

The deceased has been identified as Babita while the main accused in the case is Rajesh who works as a cab driver has been absconding for more than a week from the city.

According to the police officials, Rajesh reportedly killed his wife and then hid her body under the bed of his neighbour Dinesh

Kumar.

Dinesh who is a small-time businessman had gone to his hometown Narnaul. As he knew Rajesh well, he had given the alternate keys of his house to him so that he can ensure that daily cleaning is being done in his house under his absence.

However, Dinesh know that this trust could be used by the murderer.

After examining the body, the police claimed that there may have been a possibility of the murderer first trying to burn the body.

However, judging by the difficulties in undertaking such act, he might changed his mind and then put the body inside the bed.

"I had gone to my hometown Narnaul and returned last Monday. For the last five days, there was an increasing smell coming from my bedroom.

"Earlier thought that this smell may be due to a dead rat. Then I later realised that there was a decomposed body of a woman," said Dinesh.

What can make matters worse for Rajesh is that even Babita's father has alleged that her daughter may have been killed by him?

Interestingly, the deceased was married earlier before getting married to Rajesh and she is also believed to have kids from her first marriage who apparently were not staying with her.

"The deceased has been identified as Babita. She belongs to Gaya, Bihar and was residing in Jal Vihar apartment in Sector-46.

"Though, the main needle of suspicion point is towards Rajesh but we are also looking at the other suspects who may be involved in the case," said Inspector Jai Bhagwan, the investigating officer in the case.
