Gujarat model cheated by Delhi couple of Rs 1 lakh

Ahmedabad-based model has been cheated by a couple in Delhi on the pretext of a photoshoot. The model alleged that she met a Delhi-based man on facebook who offered her a role in some advertisement. Later, the man along with a woman had cheated the model of her belongings and withdrew amount nearly Rs one lakh from her account. The model claims that she was hypnotised by the couple.

On Saturday, the model came to the Paharganj police station and told cops that she has befriended a man named 'Rahul Singh' some time back on Facebook. She came to Delhi and met Rahul and a woman along with him, who introduced themselves as husband and wife. They took the model to a hotel in Paharganj on July 29 where a room was booked for her. The model claims that the couple hypnotised her. They took away all her valuables, her jewellery and her wallet. She was asked to keep her luggage in Rahul's room which she obliged. Then she was taken to a Aerocity hotel by the man and asked to wait. As the woman waited, she got a message on her phone that Rs one lakh have been withdrawn through online transaction. The couple did not return after that.

"We are looking into the cheating case. We are now scanning the CCTV footage of the hotel where she came in touch with the couple to identify them," said a police officer.
