Govt wants to tie up with NSIC for SC/ST education

NEW DELHI: The social welfare department of the Delhi government has planned to tie up with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) for the education development of the SC/STs of the city, said the SC/ST welfare minister Rajendra Pal Gautam. The minister asserted that the department wants to give training to the underprivileged students on small-scale industry works. "The minister is keen to expand terms with NSIC for future entrepreneurs from SC / ST sectors to come up in the industry," said an official.

"The running module structure of courses should be extended to six months rather than three months, which should comprise of five months of training and one month of internship," said Gautam. "Once the intern is out from the completion of his training, all the finance formalities and loan amount would be offered to him immediately so that he starts his small-scale enterprise soon after," he said.
