Gopal Rai holds meeting with West Delhi Lok Sabha candidate

NEW DELHI: Delhi AAP convenor Gopal Rai on Monday held a meeting with the volunteers, MLA and the MP candidate of Lok Sabha Balbir Singh Jakhar from West Delhi to plan the Lok Sabha campaign strategy. The party leaders from all the assembly constituencies which come under West Delhi were present in the meeting. The West Delhi is the only seat for the AAP where the AAP could not start much of ground-level campaign as the earlier Lok Sabha prabhari resigned for health issues. "The party will strengthen the ground level work and the candidate has a strong base in the are which will be helpful for us. The party has noted all the major issues from the area and we will start working on the issues," said a leader.

The AAP on Sunday declared its last candidate in Delhi for the Lok Sabha polls, with a senior leader saying the announcement was made seeing the Congress's "irresponsible and indecisive" attitude towards an alliance. Balbir Singh Jakhar will be the Aam Aadmi Party's candidate for the West Delhi parliamentary seat.
