Girl succumbs to burn injuries

New Delhi: The 18-year-old girl, who was allegedly set afire by a stalker in Uttarakhand's Pauri Garhwal district few days back sustained around 80 percent burns, succumbed to her injuries in Safdarjung Hospital on Sunday at around 9.30 am.

The incident happened last Sunday when the girl was returning home after appearing in her exams. The accused Manoj Singh (31), who was harassing her since last few days, stopped her and proposed to her. As she refused, the accused poured petrol on her and set her on fire.
