According to the police, the accused who were arrested on Monday afternoon are Vishal Chaudhary, Yogendra, Bobby and Vikas. Later Rohit Yadav was arrested by police following the gun battle.
Police said that the conspiracy of murder of the TV Journalist Anuj Chaudhary was planned by imprisoned former councilor Shekhar Chaudhary over 25-year-old enmity.
"The murder was planned by Shekhar Chaudhary who is presently in Dasna jail. Shekhar hired Rohit Yadav (sharp shooter) for the crime and promised him Rs 7 lakhs to kill Anuj.
Shekhar conspired Anuj's murder after he could not tolerate the defeat of his daughter-in-law in the election of councilor of Nagar Nigam in which Nishi Chaudhary, Anuj's wife, had won.
