Ggn residents demand action against errant pvt hospitals

GURUGRAM: After an FIR was Fortis Hospital over the death of a seven-year-old girl due to alleged negligence, people who have been at the receiving end of malpractices by private hospitals in Gurugram now want action against management of other hospitals.
On November 22, 12-year-old Prateek, who was admitted to Park Hospital, died under mysterious circumstances.
The victim's family had alleged that the boy died due to negligence. The chief medical officer is currently investigating the matter.
Another incident was reported at Shiva Hospital, where two staff members had molested a minor patient who was admitted in the. After the culprits were arrested, the family held a protest demanding closure of the hospital.
"Private hospital must realise that their rogue attitude will not be tolerated. If there are any instances of lack of responsibility then the government will take action," said Anil Vij, Haryana Health minister.
