Angry over diluted real estate regulatory act that have been recently passed by the Haryana government, group of homebuyers may consider over taking the legal route to challenge the government's order.
According to Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Act, (HRERA) all the projects will not be penalised by the public authorities if they are able to obtain the occupation certificate.
The buyers are angry that by not allowing the builders and developers the completion certificate, the government has provided them the easy routes to not only get away with incomplete and delayed projects but also shoddy constructions.
Even though the dislike of the diluted form of RERA was already voiced by thousands of homebuyers two months ago when the draft of HRERA was first brought out, there were no amendments done in the act.
According to government sources, more than 2,000 recommendation from the citizens were sought on the improvement in HRERA act.
"We have held various protests over the dilution of the original RERA that has adopted by the state government. This only highlights that how much influence the builder lobby has in the city. We may think over going to courts as HRERA in present form is definitely not benefitting the buyers, "said Dhruv Bansal.
The homebuyers and the residents complain that not only for their recent projects but even for the older established projects the developers have not taken the completion certificates.
