Ggn ACP and team attacked by goons

Out to settle a matter of property dispute between two warring groups in Chawan village in Pataudi, ACP (Pataudi) Tanya Singh and her team were attacked by a group of miscreants.

The incident occurred on Friday evening where a gunman and the driver sustained minor injuries and the official police vehicle was also damaged.

The attack occurred when the senior police official along with her team of three members reached the spot and upon seeing the police presence, a group of people began pelting stones at them. An FIR has been filed against the unidentified men under section of 186 (obstructing public servant of discharging duties), 427 (causing damage) and 34 (crime committed with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.

"We have begun the process of identifying the miscreants and they will soon be arrested," said Inspector Lal Chand SHO, Pataudi police station.

In June, Badshahpur SHO and other police personnel were seriously injured after villagers pelted stones at them around Sector-66. The police had intervened to enforce law in the area.
