Gangster, policeman injured in encounter
New Delhi: In an encounter, a 20-year-old gangster and a policeman were injured in Bawana area on Friday. Police said that the injured accused was involved in the recent gang war reported from Dwarka Mor.
Deputy Commissioner of Police ( Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said that an encounter took place between Special Cell and gangster named Ankit Dabass on the main road to Majra Dabas Kanjhawala Bawana road at around 7.45 PM on Friday. During the incident, the criminal and the Sub Inspector Krishan were injured anď eventually shifted to Valmiki Hospital.
"One police official also bore the brunt of the bullets fired by the criminal on their BP jackets. A semi-automatic pistol along with live cartridges and motorcycle has been recovered," said DCP Special Cell.
DCP further added that legal action is being taken against the accused. He was involved in the daring shoot out at Dwarka Mor on May 19. "Ankit was involved in the shoot out along with Vikas Dalal and Cheetah of Vill Kair in Najafgarh," said DCP Special Cell.
On Sunday afternoon, two criminals were shot dead in firing in the busy streets under Dwarka Mor metro station. The criminals fire more than 11 rounds into the windshield of the white car.
The place where the incident took place is filled with shops, juice vendors. Everyday heavy traffic moves through the area. It is as an intersection to Dwarka and Uttam Nagar areas.
In 12 seconds' video of the alleged incident shows that two men including one of them wearing helmet fired indiscriminately firing in a white Ritz car.
The PCR personnel who was standing nearby reached the spot.
The accused fired at the policeman and in retaliation, the PCR staff identified as constable Naresh fired three rounds killing one of the gangsters (who was one of the assailants).
