Gang of 3 supplied 500 pistols in Delhi-NCR
New Delhi: Special Cell of Delhi Police on Thursday claimed that they have arrested three men who were involved in illegal arms supply. Police claimed that this gang had supplied around 500 pistols in Delhi, NCR and UP West area.
According to police the accused were identified as Shiv Singh, Mangal Singh and Ravi. They were arrested on the basis of an information that they would come to supply one consignment of illegal Arms to one of their moles in Delhi area. The interrogation of accused persons revealed that they have been indulging in the supply of illegal Arms since last 4 to 5 yrs.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) PS Kushwah stated that accused Shiv Singh has previously been arrested in several Arms Act cases. The interrogation further revealed that this gang had supplied around 500 pistols in Delhi, NCR and UP West area. They procure illegal pistols from Khargone MP, for Rs 6,000/- and sell them to prospective buyers for Rs. 20,000/- and above. Accused Shiv Singh has purchased the Bolero Car to conceal the arms and evade detection by the police. "Accused Shiv Singh had allured two associates, who are residents of his village, in this nefarious trade. Both Mangal Singh and Ravi have enmity with some residents of their village, whom they were planning to kill," said the DCP.
Police further claimed that the accused were also lured by the prospect of earning easy money with Shiv Singh. The gang is procuring pistols from one Fauzi in Khargone and they had come to supply these to their associates in Delhi.
