Gang issuing fake licences busted in Ggn

Gurugram: The Gurugram police was able to bust a gang that used to issue fake licences to the drivers. To get a sense of how strong the mafia was, it was found that there were already 2,000 licences that were issued by the group.

The drivers who have issued the licences did not have the idea that they were being issued fake licences.

The gang on the pretext of providing licences at a reasonable price of Rs 5,000 used to get the customers. Moreover, the licences used to be issued in the time frame of twenty-four hours.

The law enforcement officials after conducting a raid on the accused whereabouts were able to recover computers, scanners, printers.

The law enforcement officials were able to arrest the kingpin of the group named Jalaluddin, a resident of Mewat from Tau Devi Lal stadium after getting a tip-off. Jalaluddin was educated till class 12. The main people targetted by the group were taxi drivers.

It is important to note that the illegal taxis continue to pose major law and order challenge in the city. The official data by Gurugram police reveals that this year on an average 10 robberies has occurred in the cab. Most of the cabs provide transportation services in city MNC's, BPO's and even individual owners.
