Four top Delhi Police officers reassigned

New Delhi: In a major reshuffle, four senior Delhi Police officers were assigned to new departments on Tuesday.
Additional Commissioner of Police Braja Kishore Singh, who was heading New Delhi district, will oversee Traffic.
During his period incharge of New Delhi, the senior official solved the theft case at the National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum in Pragati Maidan.
Police had recovered 16 antique Kashmiri Shawls of fine quality, having historic importance and worth Rs two crores in the theft case.
The New Delhi district comprises Lutyens Delhi, the entire hub of law legislation and diplomatic area.
It has varied challenges of law and order, safety and security, including overall policing of the most sensitive parts of the national Capital.
All these challenges were handled with alertness by the Singh as head of New Delhi district. He also efficiently handled 22 religious processions, gatherings, as well as 1,960 visits and movements of foreign heads of states, governments and high dignitaries
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police and PRO, Madhur Verma has been transferred to New Delhi district. Verma earlier headed North district and was then transferred to Crime Branch, where many cases were solved during his tenure with the elite team.
Prabhakar, an IPS officer of 2002 batch, will be joining as Additional Commissioner of Police (Licensing) on repatriation from Deputation.
RA Sanjeev, who was earlier DCP (Establishment), has been promoted as Additional CP (Headquarters and Establishment). The transfers have to be implemented with immediate effect, the order stated.
