Four robbers arrested by Gautam Buddh Nagar cops after shootout

Noida: Following a chase and tough shootout between the police and criminals, the Gautam Buddh Nagar police on late Thursday night arrested four alleged robbers from Sector 88 in Noida, police said on Friday.
"The robbers who were travelling in a car were spotted after they crashed into a police barrier. A patrol team alerted other police posts and a search was launched. They fired at the teams that were deployed to locate them following a chase," said senior police officials.
"All the four arrested are wanted local goons and police are searching them from months. They were intercepted in an isolated area under Phase II police station and a cross fire ensued between the men in the car and police teams," said Love Kumar, senior superintendent of police, Gautam Budh Nagar.
"One of the men sustained an injury to his leg who has been admitted to the district hospital. Fortunately, no policemen got injured during the cross fire incident and were succesfull," he added.
The arrested were identified as Naseem (who received a bullet injury), Farmaan, Tahir and Shaan, all from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.
Police have recovered a double barrel gun and a Hyundai Getz car from their possession.
"All the four men were arrested and were found to be involved in a late night robbery of a double barrel gun belonging to the security guard of a high rise building in sector 110 on August 7.
"A case in relevance to the incident was registered at Phase II police station, Noida. Two more of their gang members somehow managed to flee from the spot. Our teams are conducting searches a various suspected locations to nab them," added Kumar.
