Four members of Zehar Khurani gang arrested

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has arrested four persons of infamous Zehar Khurani gang in Rohini. The accused have been identified as Bittu, Ajeet, Amit and Himanshu all residents of Delhi.

The team of Special Staff, Rohini Distt. solved 4 cases of robbery and theft of various police stations and recovered one country-made pistol with four live cartridges, 9 e-rickshaws and one motorcycle from their possession.

On December 31, police received secret information that a person, who used to rob and steal e-rickshaw by drugging the poor driver, will come to see his associates near M2K Mall Sector-3 Rohini Delhi. At about 10.15 pm, two accused persons namely Babloo and Ajeet were apprehended from Sector-3 Rohini.

During interrogation, they disclosed that they are a permanent resident of Gazipur UP and presently, residing at Rama Vihar, Karala, Delhi in a rented house.

They also disclosed that they are involved in robbery/theft of e-rickshaws by drugging them with their associates namely Himanshu and Nilesh.

"During interrogation, accused Babloo alias Bittu disclosed that he was previously involved in the same type of cases but now he wanted to open his own godown of e-rickshaw to earn more money," said DCP Rohini Rajneesh Gupta.

At the instance of accused Babloo and Ajeet, 8 e-rickshaws were recovered from Rama Vihar, Karala, Delhi, some of which were found stolen from Madipur, Nand Nagari, Kalyanpuri, and Rohini area of Delhi. Both accused were produced before the court and were taken on two days police remand.
