Four injured in cracker blast during marriage function
New Delhi: Four persons were injured during a blast occurred in marriage function in Kanjhawala area of Rohini district, police said on Monday. The investigating agency is probing the case from several angles and said the two persons were seriously injured in the incident.
According to police, the incident was reported on Sunday night in Rasulpur village. "The house where the incident took place was busy in marriage function," said police. They further added that people were bursting firecrackers when a spark fell inside the bag carrying firecrackers. As blast occurred, nearby people were injured.
Reports came that six persons received injury but a police officer close to investigation claimed that four persons had received injuries due to sudden blast. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) SD Mishra told Millennium Post that the house where the incident took place belongs to head constable in Delhi Police. "His son was getting married. The man who was bursting the firecrackers had stored the crackers and suddenly the spark fell on it leading to the incident," added DCP Mishra. He further added that two persons were critically injured.
A case under relevant sections of the IPC have been filed in Kanjhawala police station.
