Four held for killing youth after road rage

New Delhi: Even after changing several hideouts, Deepanshu Chabra and three of his friends were unsuccessful in escaping as they were arrested by Shahdara district police for killing a 26-year-old man who went to resolve altercation over not giving side to a car.
According to police, other than Chabra (24), other accused are identified as Deepanshu Chabra (24), Devender Sharma (24), Rohan (22) and Gufran (22). They were arrested from Haridwar by 10 special teams led by Inspector Pawan Kumar (SHO/Geeta Colony) and headed by VHM Meena (ACP/Gandhi Nagar).
After the murder, the accused fled to other states like UP and Uttarakhand.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Nupur Prasad said that on the intervening night of September 16 and 17, a PCR call regarding stabbing of two boys from Jheel Chowk area of Geeta Colony in which one Nishant Arora was declared brought dead and another injured Gaurav Sharma was referred to GTB Hospital. "Complainant Ashish Tyagi stated that near Chaman Dhaba, they found three motorcyclists, quarreling with a car driver on the issue of giving space to move ahead. His friends Nishant and Gaurav tried to pacify but they were stabbed," police said.
