Delhi Police on Saturday arrested four persons for murdering a father-son duo at their Dhaba in Najafgarh area of Outer Delhi
The four arrested persons have been identified as Karim Khan, Amit Prajapati alias Mitha, Monu and Raja Bihari.
Monu has been previously been involved in criminal cases, including attempt to murder, police said.
The victims were shot dead by the accused on the night of July 26, after an argument broke out when the accused demanded that the dhaba owners change the direction of a cooler's fan.
On July 26, around 10 pm, police received a called that two persons at Sangeeta Dhaba in Najafgarh's Nangli Sakrawti received gunshot wounds.
After reaching the spot, police personnel learnt that the incident took place around 9.30 pm when four unknown persons on two motorcycles had come to the dhaba for dinner.
After ordering their food, one of the accused asked Mayank Verma, the son of the dhaba's owner, to change the direction of the air cooler towards them.
Detailing the events that led to the shooting, DCP (Outer) M N Tiwari said: "When Mayank refused saying that there were other customers at the eatery as well, one of them walked towards cooler to change the direction. This turned into an argument between the accused and Mayank. During the scuffle, one of the accused pulled out a pistol and shot Mayank in the neck."
"On hearing the gunshots, Mayank's father Shyam Verma owner, who was manning the cash counter, ran towards Mayank and tried to catch the accused. The same person who fired at Mayank then shot Shyam in the neck as well," said Tiwari.
