Four arrested for robbing jeweller of Rs 9 lakh in Rohini

New Delhi: A robbery case of Rs 9 lakh was solved by Rohini District police after they have arrested four members of Gogi gang from Budhpur drain area on Sunday.
Police said they also recovered an amount of Rs 6.05 lakhs from the accused.
The accused were identified as Deepak (29) Deepak (30), Narender (22) and Sanjay (24). Along with money, police also recovered three sophisticated automatic pistols, 13 live cartridges and two motorcycles used in the crime.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Rajneesh Gupta said on December 17 at about 9 pm, complainant Ankit Verma (a jeweler) was coming back to his home from his shop.
Verma was having two bags in his scooty containing Rs 9.9 lakh, documents, and keys of the shop. He was intercepted by accused persons.
DCP said one accused threatened him after showing him the pistol and other accused fired gunshot in the air and snatched the bags from the scooty. Both of them ran away from the spot on their motorcycle.
"The team made wide search operation about the booty and assailants in the area of Sonepat, Baghpat, and Shamli and on December 20. The accused were arrested from Budhpur drain," said the DCP.
