Five NDRF personnel get President's Police Medal

New Delhi: Five personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) will be conferred the President's Police Medal for Distinguished and Meritorious Service, at the Republic Day celebration on Friday.
According to NDRF, Sudhir Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General (Border Security Force), currently serving in NDRF, has been given the awarded President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service in recognition of his selfless services.
Second-In-Command Keshav Kumar, Deputy Commandant Lokendra Singh, Sub Inspector Chitukane Pramod Tulsiram and Assistant Sub Inspector Ram Niwas Rawat have been awarded the President's Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Sudhir Kumar Singh was appointed in BSF as an Assistant Commandant on October 5, 1987. In 1988, when militancy in Punjab was at its peak, Singh displayed a high sense of devotion. In recognition of his unblemished career and commendable performance, Singh was conferred with 'Police Medal for Meritorious Service' on Independence Day 2008.
Keshav Kumar joined BSF as Assistant Commandant in 1997. Kumar has been awarded 16 times with Director General's Commendation Roll, two times Vice Chairman NDMA's Commendation Roll and with NDRF medal.
