Five arrested for killing 27-year-old man

New Delhi: Five persons were arrested for killing a 27-year-old man whose body was later found in outer Delhi's Ranhola area after being missing from Noida in August this year.
According to police on August 16, a PCR call was received regarding an unidentified body found in Ganda Nala behind Ranhola Village.
Immediately a case was registered and Unidentified Dead Bodies (UIDB) information was uploaded on Zipnet.
On September 23, UIDB was identified as that of Abdul Mamud, a resident of Sector-20 in Noida.
The mobile number of deceased was obtained from his brother and on inquiry, the last location of Abdul Mamud was found near Kunwar Singh Nagar, Nangloi.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Pankaj Singh stated that the investigation revealed that deceased had some financial issues with one Abdul Kaish as Mamud had given a loan of Rs 5 lakh which the latter was not returning.
On August 15, the deceased went to Kunwar Singh Nagar to collect the debt and after that, he did not return, police said.
"During the investigation, a raid was conducted at Kunwar Singh Nagar, Nangloi from where one accused Manoj Kumar, a close friend of Abdul Kaish was caught. During interrogation, he disclosed about the murder of the deceased and also disclosed the names of co-accused persons," Singh said.
Police said that at the instance of Kumar, other four co-accused persons identified as Satish, Vikas Kumar, Avinash Choubey and Gurpreet Bhatia were arrested.
Police claimed that the accused revealed that they all were having drinks when Mamud demanded his money, which was followed by a quarrel between them and the murder.
