First-of-its-kind water ATM thrown open in Delhi

NEW DELHI: Israeli Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon on Thursday inaugurated a first-of-its-kind 'Air to Water ATM' at Charkha Park, opposite Regal Building at Connaught Place, in the presence of officials of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
"I must thank NDMC for providing an opportunity to Water-Gen one of the most innovative companies of Israel for extending Water Infrastructure System as an alternative solution for clean and safe drinking water from Air to Water ATM in New Delhi area.
"I hope that this alternative solution of drinking water will made available 500 lt. per day potable water from the atmospheric air, said Carmon.
On the occasion, New Delhi MP Meenakshi Lekhi appreciated the jointly efforts of two friendly nations to provide the basic amenities like drinking water to the citizens by the innovative technology.
The Chairman, NDMC Naresh Kumar informed that an MoU has been signed between an Israel company M/s Water Gen. for provide the Innovative Water Infrastructure with an alternative solution to provide the clean and pure drinking water in New Delhi area.
He added that the project will improve the quantity and quality of accessible clean water in the area.
