Fire in house: Man charred to death

Noida: A 45-year-old man was allegedly charred to death inside his house after a fire got triggered in the two story house in Gejha village of Noida on late Monday night. Fire officials are yet to ascertain the reason behind the fire while they said that the narrow streets and illegal encroachment near the house prevented them from pursuing the rescue operation. However, six Hauz pipes were pressed into action to douse the flames but by the time the victim had died, said fire officials.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Aditya alias Bobby Tyagi, a resident of Gejha Village in Noida.

An official of fire department said that the incident took place around 9.45 pm on Monday and fire department reached the spot within the ten minutes.

The two storey building was surrounded by fire. Three fire tender were also sent to control the flames but due to small lane and encroachment, the fire tender could not come into the use. "At around 11.30 pm we doused the flames but unfortunately, we could not save him. We are yet to ascertain the reason which triggered the fire," said Radhey Shyam, Fire safety officer.
