Fire at Noida authority office
Noida: A fire broke out at Noida authority's office in sector 6 of Noida on Wednesday morning. Fire Officials said that no casualties were reported in the incident, however, some documents and goods worth lakhs were gutted in flames.
According to fire officials, the fire occurred inside an office at ground floor of the building around 10 am.
Arun Kumar Singh, Chief Fire Office (CFO), Gautam Buddh Nagar said that nearly half a dozen fire tenders were rushed to the spot and they took nearly an hour to take control over the flames.
"Following the information, nearly half a dozen fire tenders were rushed to the spot and all the occupants present inside the building were successfully rescued in no time. It took nearly an hour for the fire fighters to completely douse the flames. No casualties were reported, however, goods worth lakhs and few documents were gutted in flames. As of now we cannot ascertain the reasons behind the fire," said Singh. A senior Noida authority officer said that the fire occurred inside the office of an assistant manager and in the Traffic Cell at the authority's office.
"The flames were triggered inside the office of Work Circle 10 and Noida Traffic Cell which spread to other parts of the building. The office of assistant manager and computer department was most affected with the fire. However, the fire fighters managed to take control over the flames in no time," Rajesh Kumar Singh, Officer on Special Duty, Noida authority said.
