FIR registered against four-year-old for sexual assault
NEW DELHI: The Delhi police registered an FIR under POCSO after the mother of a four-year-old girl approached police complaining that her daughter has been allegedly sexually assaulted by a four-year-old boy studying in the same class.
Both the girl child and the boy are kindergarten students in a private school in South West Delhi.
The matter came to light when the girl child complained of pain in the genitals and her mother noticed that she is uneasy and has been allegedly sexually assaulted. It was then she decided to approach the police and lodged a formal complain.
Since the matter involves both Kinder Garten students the police is very cautious in the case.
Confirming the incident a senior police officer said that they have filed an FIR and are investigating the charges.
Since the alleged offence took place in the school, the cops would also try to get some versions from the authorities.
The mother in her complaint has also accused the school authorities of negligence.
She has said that the safety and the security of the child is the responsibility of the school.
The girl child was later sent for counselling by an NGO team.
