Fast over Parl disruption: Ram Niwas Goel slams Centre for 'murder of democracy'

NEW DELHI: Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel on Thursday attacked on the NDA-led central government, whose leaders are observing fast 'for the sake of democracy' over disruption of Parliament Session.
Goel's comments come after officers of the Delhi government refused to answer 36 questions posed by the Assembly members, on the directions of the office of Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, who stated that the subjects being questioned came under reserved subjects, including Services, Vigilance and Land and Building.
Goel expressed his views that these are attempts to obstruct the independence of the legislature and shall be severely dealt with. "It is also murder of democracy being done by the Centre," Goel stated.
He had given the ruling in the House that on the behalf of Union Home Ministry, the LG had sent the letter regarding the reserved subjects to the Delhi Assembly Secretariat, which means that was Raj Niwas challenging the Speaker.
The Speaker said that the washout of the second half of the Parliament's Budget Session for main liability is to be ruling Party.
"Presently, the BJP has absolute majority in the Lok Sabha, meaning that the ruling party hand in glove with the ruckus group," Goel alleged.
