Extra-marital affair led to murder, three including wife arrested

New Delhi: An extramarital affair led to the murder of 31-year-old man whose body was found lying opposite the Najafgarh-Chhawla road on December 8. The investigation in the case led to the arrest of three persons including the wife of the deceased and her paramour. The victim was stabbed multiple times to death inside the car.

According to police, on December 8 a PCR call was received regarding an unknown body lying in the bushes in Najafgarh- Chhawla Road. Multiple stab wounds were found in the body. Later, the identity of the victim was revealed to be Amit alias Johnny, a resident of Sagarpur. A police team led by Inspector Raj Kumar started investigations into the case. The friends and family members of the victim were examined and it was revealed that Sachin, a distant relative of the wife of the deceased, often used to visit her in absence of the victim.

"Amit had objections to his wife meeting Sachin in his absence and this has resulted in a quarrel between them in the past. Amit had even threatened Sachin with dire consequences if he did not desist from meeting his wife," said a police officer. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse claimed that the police went to Sachin's house in Pul Prahladpur but he was found missing from his house since Demeber 7. "On December 11, on a specific information, accused Sachin and his cousin Bobby (21) were apprehended by the police. On interrogation, they disclosed the conspiracy and execution of the murder," said DCP Alphonse.

The police stated that interrogation of accused Sachin revealed that he had an affair with the wife of the deceased even before her marriage with Amit. After her marriage, they continued their relationship. "Sachin was finding it difficult to meet her due to Amit's stiff resistance to their relations. So, he hatched a conspiracy with his cousin Bobby and other two friends – Sunny and Deepu," police said. On the night of December 7, Sachin met Amit at Janak Cinema, Pankha Road and took him in his car on the pretext of sorting out the issue. Bobby, Sunny and Deepu were also seated in the car.

Later, Deepu got off from the car and the rest four went towards Najafgarh. On the way, a quarrel erupted between them and Sachin, Bobby and Sunny stabbed Amit several times Amit and when he died they threw his dead body in bushes on Najafgarh-Chhawla Road.
