EOW probes cheating case against Amrapali

New Delhi: The Economic and Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police on Monday said that they have registered a case of cheating against Amrapali Group and its officials.

Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW) Suvashis Choudhary told Millennium Post they have registered the case and further investigation is going on.

According to police, the case has been registered on Monday on the complaint of one Naresh Kumar Bhalla, resident of Paschim Vihar.

Police said that the promoters of Amrapali Group had launched its project named Amrapali Adarsh Awas Yojna, Sector 76, Noida for Serving and Retired government employees. "It was claimed that the project is approved vide by the Noida Authority. They had proposed of 5 towers of 39 floors each having 2, 3 and 4 BHK having Super area with all modern amenities and facilities," police said.

The investigating agency further said that the complainant had booked a 3 BHK and three toilets and servant on the 34th floor-through one Investor Clinic.

The booking amount was taken and the builder-buyer agreement was executed. Later on, he came to know that requisite approval is not accorded to the project. A case under sections 409/406/420/120B IPC was registered.
