Ensure time-bound completion of projects: LG

New Delhi: Delhi LG Anil Baijal has reviewed present status and future plans of use of technology by Delhi Police with specific deadlines for various projects. The focus was given on projects related to the safety and security of women and senior citizens.

According to Raj Niwas, press statement, LG emphasised that the projects need to be prioritized and taken up in a phased manner to ensure time bound completion.

"LG further directed Delhi Police to focus on those projects which are related to safety and security of women and senior citizens," added the press statement.

Delhi Police made a unit-wise detailed presentation on various ongoing and upcoming technology projects.

"Projects relating to Information Technology, Licensing, Special Cell, Modernization Unit, Operations & Communication, EOW, P&L, Cyber Cell, and Crime Branch were reviewed," said the press statement.

The LG was apprised about the present status and future plans of Integration of all applications (Single APP), Automation of Licensing Process, E-Beat Book, Replacement of existing Digital Trunked Radio System, Procurement of Cyber Cell Equipment for EOW; New System for Automated Finger and Palm Print Identification System (AFPIS), Safe City Project (Artificial Intelligence powered Surveillance) and setting up of Malware Forensic

Lab.

He was also informed about the use of technology in various projects in Traffic and its present status and future plans. LG was further informed about the use of technology in various projects of Cyber Crime Cell and its status.

The projects included the Gantry/ Cantilever Mounted Automatic Speed Violation Detection System covering 100 locations, Red light and speed violation detection system for 24 intersections (96 set of system), 400 Nos. of Traffic Booths, Laser Speed Guns, Procurement of e-challan system on turnkey basis through NIC, Procurement of Hydraulic Cranes, Installation of GPS system in 615 motorcycles and 85 gypsies/other vehicles, Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS), Procurement of Disaster Management Vehicle, Fabrication and Exhibition Van and Modification of Motorcycles of Traffic Unit.

These projects include Setting up of damaged Hard Disk Forensic Lab; Procurement of Network Analysis Software; Procurement of Cloud Analysis Software; Procurement of "Open Source Intelligence Solution" and Establishment of Training Hall for cyber training.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary (Delhi), Commissioner of Police, Delhi, Special CPs and Joint CPs of Delhi Police.
