Enrolment date for foreign language courses at Daulat Ram College extended

Several Delhi University applicants who wanted to pursue foreign language add-on courses at Daulat Ram College can now heave a sigh of relief, as the dates for enrolment have been extended till July 15.
With the college deciding to introduce foreign language courses for the first time, 700 seats for seven language courses are in the offing.
As per a report, students from many different fields of study have been thronging the college to secure admission in the different foreign language courses, with French and German being the priority for many aspirants.
"An additional certificate course would help me get an edge and open many options to pursue in future. Opting French as a language would expand my career opportunities. I could work in an Embassy or as a French teacher," said Nisha, a student of Dyal Singh College who showed a keen interest in pursuing a certificate course in French language offered by Daulat Ram College.
Another applicant is Shashank Jain, who completed his schooling from Madhya Pradesh and wants to study German in DU.
He plans to leave for Germany later this year and wants to learn German from the college.
"I have done my certificate course in German and now I'll be doing the diploma course in the same. Along with this, I am pursuing BCom programme from the School of Open Learning," another applicant, Apoorva Nagpal said.
Rishab Pandit, another foreign language enthusiast, studied French at school level from Class IV to VIII, while opting for German in Class IX.
"Now, I am opting for Spanish from DU. Right now, I am doing BA Political Science from Ramjas College. I have just completed my first year. I love studying different languages and one day I will get the benefit of all these languages," said Rishab.
