Enquiry on SHO, subordinates for beating up three men

New Delhi: Delhi Police has initiated inquiry into a case against filed against their own personnel, after footage from a CCTV camera in outer Delhi's Mianwali area showed the Station House Officer of Mianwali Nagar police station and four of his subordinates beating up more than three persons.
Police sources claimed that the inquiry is being conducted by an officer of the rank additional Deputy Commisioner.
The first alleged video of the incident, which was recorded on January 22, shows the policemen beating up the three men, one of whom is works in the Income Tax department.
The footage reportedly shows the SHO arriving in a private car and joining his subordinates, who are seen dragging the men to a petrol pump.
One of the men tries to flee and falls on the road, and the policemen are subsequently seen kicking him.
Footage from the pump also shows the men being taken to a room. A few minutes later, it shows the SHO leaving.
The SHO has been sent to District Lines for disciplinary action.
