Dwarka woman killed, cops probe father's role

A 29-year-old woman was allegedly murdered inside her house in Kamashi Apartment in Dwarka Sector 6 on Friday, police said.

According to the police, they suspect the role of the father in the incident and have asked him to join the investigation.

The girl, identified as Sweta, had completed her MBA and was unable to find a job. This made the behaviour of the girl violent at times, attacking her parents at times and was suspected of being a patient of depression.

The police said that though the parents brought the body to the hospital, the doctors said that the death has happened atleast five hours ago.

The parents were not able to satisfactarily explain the delay to bring the body to the hospital.

The cops said that the doctors confirmed it as homicide by strangualation which forced the cops to suspect the father of the girl in the alleged murder.

"We have asked the father who is retired from a private airlines to join the investigation. We will decide the futire course of action after questioning him. Since none else was supposedly present at the time of the incident, we have reasons to suspect him," said a senior police officer.
