Dwarka gang war: I only performed my duty, says Constable Naresh
New Delhi: "I have only performed my duty," said 49-year-old Constable Naresh, a brave heart, who fought with the gangsters without caring his life in Dwarka Mor area on Sunday.
The fearless personnel had shot dead one of the criminals involved in the gangwar.
Talking to Millennium Post, Constable Naresh posted in PCR unit said that earlier he thought that it was kidnapping bid but when he reached the spot firing was going on.
"I told the criminals that what are you doing. Stop it now. Then one of them started firing on me. I took out a service revolver and fired at them," said Naresh adding that he had no fear at the time of the incident.
The brave heart constable joined the Delhi Police in 1991 and is the resident of Delhi.
When asked how he sees his brave effort, the Constable said that it was a normal duty for him.

When asked about his family's reaction on the whole incident, Naresh with a smile said that they congratulated him for the good work.
If the police did not reach on time, the criminals could have done anything.
A video had gone viral in social media where it was seen that the constable was fighting with the criminals.

The Delhi Police has formed more than nine teams to probe the shootout in Dwarka where a three-way exchange of fire between criminals and cops on a busy street led to the death of two gangsters.
Police sources said that one of the assailants had come in a motorcycle.
"The accused's car was bearing Rajasthan number plate but it was not clear," added the investigator.
The probe is also going on whether the plan of killing was made inside the prison. "Two ACPs are working in the case under them more than seven teams working," police said.
A cyber team is also helping other teams who are working on the ground.
Police official said that a medical board will conduct the postmortem of the deceased (gangsters). The forensic team inspected the vehicle.
On Sunday afternoon, two criminals were shot dead in firing in the busy streets under Dwarka Mor metro station. The criminals fire more than 11 rounds into the windshield of the white car.
The place where the incident took place is filled with shops, juice vendors.
Everyday heavy traffic moves through the area. It is as an intersection to Dwarka and Uttam Nagar areas.
In 12 seconds' video of the alleged incident shows that two men including one of them wearing helmet fired indiscriminately firing in a white Ritz car. The PCR personnel who was standing nearby reached the spot.
The accused fired at the policeman and in retaliation, the PCR staff constable Naresh fired three rounds killing one of the gangsters (who was one of the assailants).
