DUTA appeals VC to constitute governing body

Delhi University Teachers' Association ( DUTA) on Tuesday appealed to Delhi University V-C Yogesh Tyagi to complete the process of formation of full governing bodies for all colleges.
The letter sent to VC reads, "despite repeated appeals and reminders, the DU administration has been delaying the formation of full governing bodies in several colleges. We find no justification in the frivolous EC decision to delay the process by constituting a committee for a purpose that could have been easily sorted out within a working week." "Now, due to no fault of theirs, teachers and students of 28 Delhi Government-funded colleges are being forced to face a fund freeze," the latter also reads.
Earlier, DUTA highlighted the issues on July 5, "Renew services of ad hoc teachers working in your College/ Department and to hold interviews for additional posts only. DUTA requests you to release summer salary of all ad-hocs who have rejoined on 20th July, 2016 in keeping with Ordinance XII Clause 3(4). mpost
