Duo held for kidnapping, murder of 22-yr-old in Dwarka

NEW DELHI: In a horrific incident reported from Dwarka, a 22-year-old man who was first kidnapped for ransom was killed by his captors the same day, who proceeded to cut his body into pieces and drained it into a septic tank to get rid of evidence.
Police said on Thursday that the accused Bhushan Kumar and Vicky were arrested and after their revelation, remains of the victim were found.
Cops said that the victim Sachin was kidnapped on May 12, and after he did not pick up his phone his family filed a missing report at Baba Haridas Nagar police station in Dwarka.
On May 15, the kidnappers called the family from Sachin's number and demanded for a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. The helpless family soon contacted police and narrated the whole story, after which police teams began searching for Sachin.
Further, Sachin's wife told cops that he had talked to one Varun over the phone and to discuss a business plan a day before he was kidnapped.
Cops then reached Varun's residence in Chhawla, only to find his room locked.
Immediately, a police team was dispatched to his Varun's native place in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where they nabbed him and found his real name to be Bhushan Kumar Singh.
During interrogation, Singh told cops that his brother-in-law Vicky had made the ransome calls.
"Singh knew Sachin as both were in the same profession. He also knew that Sachin's family could arrange the Rs 50 lakh ransom by selling their plot," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Shibesh Singh said.
As per their plan, Singh and Vicky lured Sachin to their place and kidnapped him. However, things went awry and in a fit of rage, they killed him.
The accused then chopped off Sachin's limbs and used a carpet and other flooring material to carry of his body and dumped in into a septic tank.
