DU graduate arrested for robbery in Nangloi
New Delhi: The Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested a Delhi University graduate and solved six burglaries cases in Dwarka district.
Police have also arrested two receivers of stolen properties.
Police identified the accused as Shahzad (22), Lalit (27) and Hardayal (42).
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Dr G Ramgopal Naik said that there were incidents of burglaries in the area of Dwarka and West District of Delhi.
Most of the cases were registered about the theft of jewellery, electronic goods and cash from the locked houses of the area.
"On March 15, police arrested Shahzad near Nangloi Flyover. Upon interrogation, he disclosed the receiver of stolen property Hardayal who was later arrested. Lalit who is another receiver of stolen articles was nabbed," said DCP.
DCP Naik stated that Shahzad did graduation from DU. He met with bad elements and started doing crimes.
He used to commit motor vehicle thefts and burglaries and was also arrested in the year 2015 in 15 cases of motor vehicle thefts in Delhi.
After that, he was again arrested by UP Police in motor vehicle theft cases.
