DSSSB question paper leak: BJP takes on govt, AAP hits back

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday hit back at the Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, after the Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta blamed the Delhi government for not conducting the primary recruitment test (PRT) properly and called for cancellation of the entire examination.
Gupta had said that the Delhi Police Crime Branch had recommended cancellation of the entire PRT process for the post of primary teachers, on account of massive bungling.
This, the BJP leader said, "exposes inefficiency and corruption of the DSSSB (Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board)."
Earlier, Gupta had said that he will meet Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal over the issue.
Commenting on the issue, AAP MLA from Greater Kailash Saurabh Bharadwaj said, "Tell me, what was the BJP appointed LG doing," adding that despite Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's request to halt the PRT, the LG has not cleared the file.
After the incident, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had sought Baijal's nod on the Delhi government's decision of cancellation of DSSSB examination, question papers of which were allegedly leaked.
"Almost 70,000 youth affected. We also need to put in place a system to stop such incidents in future," the CM had said.
On this matter, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had said that it was a serious case of corruption in the teacher's recruitment process and there have been numerous complaints of exam papers being leaked.
There have also been complaints of question papers being set from a particular guidebook and servers not functioning properly at the time when documents have to be uploaded, the Deputy Chief Minister had claimed.
Sisodia had said that all these issues were already being referred to the LG, even as Gupta met the LG and demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the alleged DSSSB examination paper leak case.
