New Delhi: A drone was found on the premises of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Monday.
Police said investigation was going on. However, it was suspected that it might be out of curiosity to fly the drone by someone but he or she was unable to handle the object which later fell on the premises.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Milind Dumbere stated they were informed by JNU officials about the drone which they found lying near Yamuna hostel on Monday evening. The police team took the drone and started their investigation. "We are investigating the case from all angles," said the DCP.
A senior official said they did not suspect any foul play behind. The memory card of the drone was scanned in which five videos were found in which one was one minute and other clips were of few seconds. In the clip, it was seen that a boy and girl was flying drone who are still unidentified. Police said they have registered a case in this regard and further investigation is on.
In another incident, few JNU students were beaten by some outsiders in South West Delhi area during New Year celebration. Police claimed that they have arrested two youths in this regard.
