DOE asked to furnish school plaints against liquor shop

NEW DELHI: In a major relief to educational institutions and places of worship suffering from location of liquor shops close to their campus, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia asked Directorate of Education department to furnish details of schools, who registered complaints against liquor shops.
Sisodia directed education department, if any sort of complaints regarding nuances being created by goons after drinking wines ,then ,the nearest wine shop will be shifted somewhere else.
" Any school complains about particular wine shop and the Shop follows exercise policy, despite that shop will be shifted from there ," said an official.
In recently the boy's murder in a Gurugram school bathroom and rape of a minor girl in a school here, Delhi government decided to take some stringent steps to curb crime against school going children.
Sisodia expressed his views the rape of the five-year-old girl by a school peon on September 9 is also another unfortunate incident and a magisterial probe has been ordered in it.
It may be mentioned that a five-year-old was allegedly raped by a peon on the premises of the private school in Shahdara here on Saturday.
The accused Vikas had been working in the school for the last three years, previously worked as a security guard there. He took the girl inside an empty classroom around noon on Saturday when he was walking on the corridors after handing over lunch boxes to teachers. After raping the girl, he threatened her of dire consequences.
Earlier Delhi government has announced that no new liquor shop will be sanctioned with a government license in the national capital and only L-10 licences will be granted for opening shops in shopping malls.
