Doctor rescued, hunt for kidnappers still underway

After a grueling operation which ended with a brief encounter between kidnappers and the Delhi Police, the abducted Doctor Shrikanth Goud was finally rescued. The policemen numbering more than 200 were finally given their due when the Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik himself felicitated the policemen for their efforts.
For more than a week, the policemen had to fight through forested terrain, sugar cane fields, and tough urban landscapes.
The Police Commissioner was himself overseeing the entire operation and was coordinating with the Special Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) SBK Singh and Joint Commissioner of Police (eastern range) Ravindra Yadav.
Finally, after the victim was rescued and reunited with his family members, he returned to meet the police team who saved him from his captors.
Goud stood with a beaming smile and congratulated them for the daring rescue. With the felicitation over, the police still did not have the time to rest as they now have to track the main accused in the kidnapping case- the two brothers Sushil and Anuj, along with two other associates Vivek and Gaurav.
The active informer network which was crucial in cracking the case will also be deployed across Western UP as the local police continue scouring the vast area for the location of the accused.
