DJB removes 10 connections limit for buildings

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Friday decided to remove the cap of 10 water connections for one building, in addition to approving payment of compensation of Rs 10 lakh to those who died during sewer works since 1993.
The decisions were taken at a meeting was attended by vice-chairman, CEO, members and other senior officials of DJB.
The removal of the cap will not only help people get valid water connections, but also generate a large number of consumers, who were otherwise using illegal connections.
