Disposal of septic tank waste: Now, vendors can register for licence till February 11

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Jal Board has extended the date for registration of vendors for availing valid licence for collection, transportation and disposal of Septic Tank Waste at notified location till February 11. The Delhi Jal Board appeals the vendors to come forward and avail the valid license for the aforesaid purpose.

The Board apprises the esteemed citizens of Delhi that Septic Tank Waste Management Regulation -2018 has come into force w.e.f. 12 November 2018. As per the regulations, Septic tank Waste (Septage) shall be collected, transported and disposed only by vendors having a valid License for this purpose issued by the Delhi Jal Board. The disposal has to be done only at the notified sites. "It shall be the duty of each owner/ occupier of the building to engage the services of only those vendors who has been issued License by the Delhi Jal Board for Collection, transportation and disposal of septic tank waste to notified locations," said in statement of DJB.

The septic tank waste shall be transported only in the vehicles approved for this purpose. Those who fail to register their vehicles and continue their operations will face stern actions and the vehicles will be seized.
