Deputy CM's surprise visit at Mohalla Clinics in East Delhi

NEW DELHI: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia made surprise visit at two Mohalla Clinics situated in East Delhi here on Monday. Inspecting the Mohalla Clinic, situated in Mayur Vihar, Pocket B, Phase 2, with his team, Manish Sisodia asked the patients about the quality of service provided at the clinic and if they were satisfied by it.

The Deputy CM checked the medicine availability registers and spoke to the doctors of the clinic. On being apprised of the irregular water supply situation at the Mohalla Clinic in Mayur Vihar, Sisodia immediately directed the PWD officials to look into the matter and solve the issue. He also prodded the patients and their families to open up about any difficulties they faced while getting treated to which he got satisfactory feedback. "I am happy to receive such positive feedback from people. They are very happy with the staff of this Mohalla Clinic (Pocket B, Mayur Vihar Phase 2). As a government, it is our duty to ensure proper healthcare facilities for the public, and I think this Mohalla Clinic is a good example of the same," said Manish Sisodia.

"The Mohalla Clinic that started in September 2019 already has 100-200 patients paying a visit daily. Residents of areas like Vinodnagar and Khichripur are regular visitors availing the facilities of this Mohalla Clinic," he added.

Stressing on the need to increase awareness about the Mohalla Clinic, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said,"Our next step is to maximize our reach to the residents of this area. Proper channels of communication should be used to increase the awareness around the Mohalla Clinic. It is our effort to provide prompt and quality healthcare services to the people of Delhi."

Inspecting the newly installed Mohalla Clinic at Block 6, Trilokpuri, Khichripur area, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials to immediately depute staff in the clinic. He also asked the Health officials to ensure the availability of medicines and tests at the clinic well in advance. The Mohalla Clinic is all set to start its services from Tuesday.
