Deputy CM Sisodia holds three high-level review meeting
NEW DELHI: Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Thursday held three review meetings with the Technical Education Department & Tourism Department to take stock of major projects in the pipeline. The first meeting was with top-level officials of Directorate Of Training & Technical Education Department including the Secretary and the Director. The agenda was the completion of 8 more World Class Skill Centres beyond the 7 WCSCs already functioning.
This review meeting came in line with the ambitious target of Delhi government to establish 25 World Class Skill Centres offering sophisticated training in verticals like hospitality, retail, tourism, event management, finance, digital marketing etc. The Deputy Chief Minister took stock on the progress made and pressed for on-time completion of the project, which is estimated to be the next few months. He also reviewed the status of incubation centres operational in Delhi Technical University.
The other two meetings were with top officials of Tourism and Art Culture and Languages Department. The landscaping & beautification of Signature Bridge was discussed with top officials from DTTDC, Pollution Control Board, PWD. Also in the meeting were Delhi Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Dev and Secretary of Tourism Manisha Saxena. The projects are likely to be completed up in the coming months.
