Dept websites of Delhi govt to be revamped to be user-friendly

New Delhi: The Delhi government has decided to re-develop the websites of all its 180 departments by taking several steps, including providing Hindi content to make them user-friendly, an official said.
The information technology department of the government has asked all secretaries and principal secretaries to nominate a nodal officer for coordination with IT department to re-develop the websites.
As per the plan, departments will also have to provide Hindi content on their respective websites. Most of departments' websites now have content in English.
According to the official, the central government has issued guidelines for Indian government websites (GIGW) for making government websites citizen centric and visitor friendly.
