Depender Pathak to be new Special CP (Traffic)

NEW DELHI: After the Special CP Traffic Ajai Kashyap resumed office as DG Prisons, major reshuffle has taken place in Delhi Police.
The Special CP traffic being an important post needed to be filled immediately so Special Commissioner of Police Deepender Pathak, 1990 batch IPS officer has been appointed as the new Special CP Traffic. Pathak was special Commissior of Police Operations.
Pathak has remained as Special CP operations since March 2017. He is also the spokesperson of Delhi Police.
Furthermore, Joint CP South East range RP Upadhaya, a 1991 batch IPS officer has been promoted to Special CP.
Upadhaya has been handed over the charge of Special CP Crime with immediate effect.
Moreover, Praveer Ranjan, a 1993 batch IPS officer has been transferred to Joint CP South East range.
He was earlier Jint Commissioner of Police Crime.
The vaccum was created after Ajai Kashyap, 1985 batch officer was made Director General ( Prisons).
Kashyap is a batchmaate of Delhi Police commissioner Amulya Patnaik.
Ajai Kashyap has replaced Sudhir Yadav as DG Prisons.
Yadav, a 1985 batch officer has retired on September 30 handing over the charge to Kashyap who took over the office from October 1.
