Delhi Police arrests gunrunner from IGI
New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday said that they have arrested a 33-year-old arms supplier who supplies arms and ammunition to the top gangsters of Delhi-NCR.
The investigating agency said that the accused wanted to flee to Nepal for establishing a new connection with the international Arms suppliers. Police identified the accused as Arun Mann (33). Deputy Commissioner of Police (special cell) Sanjeev Yadav said the accused was supplying arms and ammunitions to the gangsters Jitender alias Gogi, Kuldeep, Kapil, Ashok alias Pradhan, Happy, Lokesh and others.
"Based on the information, a trap was laid at IGI airport and accused Arun Mann was finally apprehended there," police said.
The accused has made bases in Delhi and adjoining areas for the convenience of supplying illegal arms to various gangsters in Delhi and NCR area.
"Accused Arun Mann further disclosed that he came to know that police was searching for him, hence he decided to flee to Nepal for establishing a new connection with the international Arms suppliers," said DCP Sanjeev Yadav. He further added that interrogation also revealed that the weapons supplied by accused Arun Mann were used in several recent criminal incidents.
