Delhi govt modifies terms for DSFDC loans

NEW DELHI: The time limit for granting loans under the DSFDC loan schemes up to Rs 3 lakh is set to be reduced from 45-working days to 15 working days. This except Delhi

Swarojgar Yojna, was approved by the DSFDC during a board meeting chaired by Delhi Social Welfare Minister and Chairman DSFDC Rajendra Pal Gautam on Friday.

For composite loan schemes upto Rs 50,000, the board decided that now original electricity bill of spouse or parents can be given. Earlier original electricity bill of last three months in applicants name was the criterion.

Similarly, for loan upto Rs 40, 000 to street, fruit and vegetable vendors, the board decided that concerted efforts will be made to sanction and disburse the loan in a day only so that beneficiary can avail the benefit of the loan scheme in larger numbers.

Further the for the work shed complex of DSFDC at Sultan Puri, which is partially demolished, it has been approved by the board that work sheds at Sultan Puri Complex will now be taken on public private partnership model and reuse it for the purpose of beneficiaries.

Also board has decided to open a new branch at South District.
