Delhi govt loan app to track officials' performance

NEW DELHI: Delhi government's social welfare department will be launching the loan app which will also track the performance of the officers and will record every movement of the files.
The social welfare minister Rajendra Pal Gautam asserted that the lazy officers would be blacklisted and removed later from their positions.
"This app will record every detail of the movements of the application filed by the person. Hence, we will track the officials who are handling the file," said Gautam.
He added that this loan app will help the persons from the SC/ST and other backward community people to start their own business.
"The whole process of applying for this scheme would be through online and after filing the application the officials will reach out to the students to do other formalities," he said.
The minister also asserted that he has directed the officials to complete each application by a month.
"We will not give the money via cheque but directly transfer it to the account of the person," he said.
However, the government will also entertain manual filing of the applications.
The loan app and the scheme of giving free tuition to students of SC/ST/OBCs community will be launched on December 9.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will inaugurate the schemes.
